Youth Action Fund is a youth-led 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to breaking down barriers to activism by providing resources to young people in Florida. YAF is building a movement of young Floridians to effect progressive change, and we’re looking for a Design Lead to make beautiful graphics and illustrations that captures our brand identity.
YAF relies on digital outreach to drive our programming. Thus, building a solid brand image and marketing are extremely important. The Design Lead works within the Communications Department to develop this brand image and keep YAF’s outward facing platforms looking fantastic.
Position Title: Design Lead
Reports to: Communications Director, Deputy Executive Director
Key Relationships: Communications Director, Deputy Executive Director,
Location: Remote
Hours: Part Time (10 hrs/wk)
Start date: January 2024
Compensation: ($20/hr)

Core Responsibilities:
Create icons, backgrounds, social media posts, product designs, and other visuals for YAF
Maintain a consistent connection between supervisors to meet deadlines in a timely effective manner
Develop graphics in a manner consistent with YAF’s brand image
Assist with the design of marketing material (e.g, printed flyers, internal documents) as needed
Qualifications/Skills:
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and be able to provide a portfolio of prior work.
Exposure to progressive policy issues and campaigning.
